Austin Aikido Center

The style of Aikido taught in this class is influenced by Koichi tohei's teaching as well as Yoshinkan. It is also reflective of Mr Hunter's training in Hapkido.

The primary emphasis in this class is the development of correct and effective techinque. We devote less time to the philosophical side of aikido than many schools.

For those who wish to go beyond the techniques of Aikido, it is possible to study a modern style of (aiki)jujitsu comprised of aikido, select judo techniques and limited hand and foot strikes.
